Obama administration will not allow the termination of our cry!
Give us a free press!
Dear Mr. President,
We are proud that the United States of America in the world today are the leaders of democracy, and the main factor in the establishment of democratic principles around the world. Millions of people around the world look with hope to the U.S. as a country that does not care about the fate of people in any country of the world community.
We are the representatives of the Uzbek people want our country – the Republic of Uzbekistan was a prosperous country with a developed democracy.
That’s 23 years at the head of President Karimov, cruel, corrupt officials humiliate the rights of our compatriots, the Uzbek people and sentenced them to slavery.
They remain faithful to the traditions of autocracy.
Democratically-minded Uzbek society were imprisoned or expelled from the country. Human rights, freedom of speech, the rule of law under the framework destroyed and replaced by a system of propaganda, busy praising permanent establishment of the dictatorship.
For 20 years, the Uzbek government violated the right to vote and freedom of the press. Today in the republic sought by law enforcement of Karimov, cover websites. So sad and not a safe situation, only support the Uzbek people is the activists of the Democratic People’s Movement «Birdamlik» that required the freedom of the press!
Unfortunately, the Uzbek service of Radio Liberty and Voice of America, which are funded by the U.S. Congress today, literally become a part of the propaganda system of President Karimov.
Funded by the U.S. Congress, also sponsored by the taxes of ordinary Americans as we, in the Uzbek service of Radio «Liberty» and the Voice of America are one-sided policy «relatives» and violate the rights activists, the People’s Democratic Movement «Birdamlik.» The saddest thing is that the journalists of the Uzbek Service of Radio Liberty and Voice of America do not put a penny what is good for the people. They work to strengthen the Karimov’s regime, and not serve democracy and the Uzbek people. They are busy advertising of Karimov and his daughters. Thus, employees of the Uzbek service stations mentioned above, spend millions of U.S. taxpayer money to support and strengthen the dictatorship. But the immense taxes paid by the U.S. population should serve as a democracy, not dictatorship!
Mr. President,
on the basis of the above, we request that you, as part of your presidential powers to take appropriate measures to improve the current disastrous situation in the Uzbek service of Radio «Liberty» and «Voice of America».
Mr. President!
We, the representatives of the Uzbek people, activists of the People’s Democratic Movement «Birdamlik» have only one request PREVENT TERMINATION OF OUR VOICES!
We need a free press!
